It was founded by Chevaughn and Noel Joseph who, after an unrelenting battle lost their 5 1/2 year old son Jabez “JB” Joseph to Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. The JBF was was established in JB’s honour and opened its doors on August 2nd, 2007 which would have been Jabez’s 6th birthday.
In addition to its efforts to bring awareness and to share some of the early warning signs of childhood cancer, the JBF also provides an extensive range of emotional, practical and social support services for children with cancer and their families. Thanks to the generosity of many as well as our own fundraising initiatives, these services are provided at absolutely NO COST to those whom we serve.
